Milk Makeup Blur Liquid Matte Foundation 7-Hour Wear Test | Review

Hi beautiful people! Today's post is going to be about Milk Makeup Blur Liquid Matte Foundation and the ultimate test I had put it to. Are you ready?

Short back story: After seeing so many influencers talk about Influenster, I signed up for it. It is a huge website where people review products, share their thoughts, create different must have lists etc. If you're lucky enough, Influenster might reach out to you to send their Voxbox - a curated box with goodies from different brands. Well, after being on the platform for a long time and writing what it feels like thousands of reviews, I was finally chosen. Chosen to be one of the lucky ones to receive the Voxbox with the new Milk makeup blur liquid matte foundations and a silicone sponge

One of the received shades - Golden Light - matched me perfectly. It is a warmer light color, whereas another shade received - in Light - is for light skin with pink undertones. I decided to try out the foundation right away. So I squeezed a good amount on my fingers, distributed on my face and started blending with my brush. Oh boy... It was so much product on my skin, although the amount applied was the same as I usually do with my other foundations. My face looked cakey and foundation felt heavy. I tried to "fix" it more or less, but surely this foundation was full coverage as it claimed to be! It's interesting, because when you squeeze the foundation for the first time, it feels too runny to be a full coverage foundation, so my instinct was to apply more of it. However, after researching a bit about it, I found out that it is formulated as an oil free, water based, serum-like foundation and 1-2 drops is enough to achieve full coverage finish making it feel weightless on skin. So the second time using it around, I went with just one drop and it looked flawless. I had so many errands to run on that day, so I thought I might just see how the foundation holds up throughout the day. It was a hot day of August and I documented 7-hour wear test of the foundation in the video below to show you the quality and the longevity of its wear:

For those of you who'd rather read about 7-hour wear test than watch a video, here is a short recap. I applied my foundation at around 4:30 pm using a silicone blender that came in with a Voxbox. It was my first time using a silicone blender, but I have heard a lot of negative things about these types of tools, so my expectations weren't high. However, to my surprise, the application of a foundation was even, it did take little longer to fully blend my face, but overall performance of the silicone blender was good. Since the silicone blender does not absorb any product, I used slightly damp beauty blender to go over my foundation by working the product into the skin and absorbing the excess amount in the process. Just one drop of the foundation was enough to cover my entire face. The immediate finish of the foundation was semi-matte, I could see some dewiness in its finish. However, once set with translucent powder it is completely matte, pores are indeed blurred out and the feel is very lightweight and breathable. I did use a primer, since it had spf 50 and I was going out to run errands in hot and humid weather conditions that felt like 108 F. I avoided using any setting sprays as well as touching up my foundation or blotting it with blotting papers.

Three hours later, the coverage of foundation looked good, it wasn't as matte as before, but definitely did not look shiny or oily. My face was sweating profusely while running errands, but foundation held up so well even on the areas where it usually wipes off first, like my nose.
After 7-hour wear the area around my nose and center of my forehead was looking shiny, the smile lines creased just a little bit, but coverage on cheeks looked in tact. Honestly, compared to other long-wear full coverage foundations, the results of this Milk makeup ultra blur foundation were outstanding. Even 7-hours later I wouldn't mind going out with my foundation looking like that, whereas with most of my foundations I definitely would have to touch up before going anywhere.

My final thoughts on this amazing Milk makeup blur liquid matte foundation are only positive, I'm truly impressed by its quality, breathable full coverage formula, weightless feel and long lasting wear. It's oily skin friendly, blurs out pores as it claims to do, easily blendable and makes the skin look flawless. If your skin is on a drier side, you might want to moisturize your face beforehand, just like with any other full coverage foundations. Here is a still photo to show how it photographs in pictures:
